Design Team Call

I am very excited to tell you that SweetSassyDiva is having a design Team Call!!!

 I joined SSD last fall and have enjoyed every minute! The whole team comes up with great themes for us to be inspired and challenged by!

Oops !!! Fixing a mistake ...

I know... a mistake... how can that happen ?? Well that's easy enough to answer...I put Feb dates in for a blog hop that is happening in March !! Duh!! I made the cutest invitation that you can see here for Bobbi Jo's Blog hop and screwed up the date ! ( I fixed the date in the picture of the original post )

So I want all of you to mark down the correct dates for the Birthday Blog Hop at SweetSassyDiva
March 10th & 11th. So now that we are all on the same 'date page'. I hope you will mark your calendars and join us !!

CWWC Challenge # 12 - Big Birthday's

that's the theme for the next challenge at Crafting When We Can.

I made a fun card for my best friend who is a few years older than I am and I use every chance I get to remind her ! So with this in mind, every year is a BIG birthday for her !

The bee and the sentiment are cut from Cricut Birthday Bash and the numbers are from Cricut  A Child'sYear.
I added lots of Stickles and some ribbon I have had for a while and a purple flower. I popped the bee and the sentiment up with dimensional's from Stampin Up. I like the bright and cheerful colors to soften the 'age' !

My fellow Design Team members have made some awesome and fun cards for this challenge. I hope you will stop by and check them out .

You're Invited

 That's right, you're invited to a blog hop!  Edited to correct the dates of the hop !!!  March 10 & 11 SweetSassyDiva is having a blog hop to celebrate her birthday so this week the theme is to make an invitation for any event. Make Something Fun...

...that's the theme here at SweetSassyDiva this week! I chose a quick and easy little candy holder. I made mine for Valentines Day, but it will work for any occasion.

Start with a piece of card stock that is 3" x 7 3/4"

Score as shown below:

Fold on score lines and add adhesive

To make the rosettte I used Ribbons and Rosettes. I welded 4 - 1.26" sections together.

I scored this piece every 1/4" and attached the ends together with hot glue.

I punched out 2 - 1" circles , inked the edges and glued to the center of the front and back of the rosette. I stamped a heart from Stampin Up and cut out and pop dotted to the circle.
The rosette is attached to the front of the box with hot glue.
I cut a piece of ribbon about 7" long and used heart brads to attach to the box.

I put Ghiradeli squares inside and it's ready to give to my one and only valentine... my husband !

Vintage Valentine

is the theme for this weeks challenge at SweetSassyDiva.
To make this simple card all you need is the Birthday Bash cartridge for the card base cut at 5". The image is something I found online years ago (before I figured out that I should be keeping the websites where they came from) so I can't give you a source... so sorry... and some ribbon to finish it off.

CWWC Challenge #11

Happy Thursday !! The weekend is in sight ! Can't wait as I have LOTS of projects to get finished :)

My image is called Lasso My Heart and is full of great card possibilites!

The card base is cut from Cricut Wild Card at 5.25" The patterned paper heart is the liner layer and is cut at 9.32". I drew around the inner heart with liquid pearls, added stitching with a white gel pen , tied bakers twine from Stampin Up with the sentiment and tag from Stampin Up. I colored the image with Copics, cut him out and popped him up with dimensionals.

Very quick and easy card !!

My First Video!

Well. I bit the bullet and did my first video! I had fun doing this and hope to do more!
