Strawberry Birthday

I want to say a big hello to all of the new followers to my blog ! I am so humbled that you choose to follow and I hope you keep enjoying my projects. I don't post on any special timetable.... just when I get something done, pictures taken, post written.... you get the idea :)

Todays projects were done for my grandaughters 6th birthday party that will be in May. Because she lives a couple of hours away, I wanted to get these finished and delivered early. I did the invites at home, but used our creating weekend away to do most of the assembly of the treat boxes.

All of the Strawberry Shortcake images came from Here. I printed out 16 sets of their invitations, then cut out the main image and lots of the little flowers. I added gel pen, Stickles and Puffy Paint to give them a little more.. Umph...

The Party Time is from Cutting Up, the strawberry is from Country Life and the inside wording is from Wild Card. I put Glossy Accents on the words and glittered up the edge of the strawberries :)

.

For the treat box, I used Tags, Bags, Boxes and More,
Nursery Rhyme for the name and Create a Critter for the cupcake. Stampin Up punches were used for the backing of the cupcake and the Strawberry Shortcake logo and the flower.

The papers are Stampin Up and DCWV.

If I have forgotten any details you would like to now, just leave me a comment and I will get them to you .

Oh yea, I made 15 invitations and 25 treat boxes... Thats alot of cutting and pasting :)

As always, thanks for stopping by.

Blog Obsessed

Ok, I am standing up in front of the room and announcing that I have a problem and I need help!  I can't stop following new blogs. At the rate I'm going, my entire summer vacation will be spent getting through all the new posts that I am missing. I will have to quit my job and give up all my crafting time just to visit each blog everyday! Oh no... is there a support group for this, or am I the only one with this addiction??

Just to prove my point, I am sharing this Link Up Party that Getting Cricky is hosting.

When I added my blog to her list I was #195. That means that there are 194 potential new blogs for me to follow..... oh my goodness....

But, if you want to find some new blogs to follow and also get some new followers of your own... then head on over and join the fun !

I am spending the weekend with my 2 daughters for a crafting blitz. We each have a specific project to work on, so I will have some new things to share next week.

I'm off to feed my need for new blogs....

Thanks for stopping by :)

More Snow and Birthday Cards

Tomorrow is April 1st and I am hoping that when I wake up, the forcast for snow will be an April Fools JOKE!!  I am pretty sure all of us in north Jersey are ready to be done with the white stuff :)

For today I am showing off the birthday cards that went in my last shipment to Operation Write Home.
I am showing them all in one post, although I must tell you, I wasn't sure about doing it this way. My crafting time is kind of hit or miss and mostly done on the weekends, so I don't have a huge file of unpublished projects to share. I thought about dragging them out and doing one or two cards at a time, but I don't want my followers to get bored :)

So here we go.... Birthday cards ...

I have to say, I was very happy with these cards. I liked the simplicty of them and didn't mind that they don't have any glitter :)

All the supplies used are from Stampin Up.

As always, thanks for stopping by.  I would love to know what you think of these birthday cards :)

ThankYou Cards for OWH

When I sent my last box to OWH, I included some general occasion cards along with Easter and Mothers Day. Here are some of the thank you cards.

Looking back, I can't believe it, but there are NO Cricut cuts on these cards !  That dosen't happen very often... but I see that the birthday cards that I will post next time are all Non-Cricut cards also ... wow

All the supplies for these cards came from Stampin Up. I really am trying to use up stuff that I already have... So I can buy more !!

Hope you like these cards.

As always, thanks for stopping by :)

FIrst Time Using A Sketch

I am constantly amazed at how much this family of bloggers that I have come to know, let me stretch my creative wings. I try to give new techniques, challenges and now sketches a go whenever possible. I can't WAIT for summer vacation so I can craft all the time !! LOL).
I used the OWH sketch #46 for these cards. The simpleness suits my style, but I do want to use it again and try to make it a bit more elaborate ~ not my style ~.

The cardstock, ink , Flowers and Happy Birthday stamps are Stampin Up.
Hello and Spring Wishes stamps are Papertrey Ink.
Ribbon is SU and my stash.
The edge punches are Martha Stuart and SU.

I seem to have a problem making cards that are exactly alike.... something else I need to work on :)

As always, thanks for stopping by :)

Imagine Card

Hello everyone

Things have calmed down here now that the kids have gone home. It's way to quiet, and things are all picked up and in their normal places, but oh how I miss the noise and mess !!

So I filled the empty places with crafting, like all of us do, right?

I had to send my Imagine back ~ it had some printing problems ~ and my replacement came Friday so first thing I had to test it out. ( FYI - it works perfectly ! )My best friend's birthday is today so I made a very simple card for her.
I used the card image from Imagine More and the Piece of Cake cut with the layers. The ribbon is Stampin Up and the buttons are from my button jar.

I hope you will mark your calendar for Saturday the 5th for the Operation Write Home Bunny Hop. I know there will be tons of spring time ideas for you to drool over :)

As always, thanks for stopping by :)
