One More Tissue Cover

I haven't forgotten about these easy to make dress - ups for the ordinary box of tissues! The directions are found Here . All they need is some decorating and they are ready to be put out for all to see .

The bows and background cuts are all from Once Upon a Princess. This is a great cartridge, with lots of usefull extra cuts. The paper is Stampin Up, as is the ribblon. The pearls are from a package I got from AC Moore. Embossing with the Swiss Dots folder and lots of white gel pen work finish it off.

As always, thanks for stopping by :)

Note Cards

I made these note cards for my daughter when she went to college in September and just got to take the pictures this weekend. Fortunately, she didn't use them all!

I made the card with my Gypsy and a tag from Once Upon A Princess. I used the shadow function and welded it to make the card then used the regular image to make the top layer. It is cut at 3.25 inches.

The images are from Create a Critter and Paisely and are cut at 2 inches.

The sentiments are from Papertrey Ink, Stampin Up and some Clear stamps I got from Micheals in the $1 bin.

I sponged the edges and did some doodling with the white gel pen to add some pop.

All the paper is Stampin Up.

Name / Picture Pails

I love when I finally make a project I have had running through my head  - for EVER!!! Well, actually for almost a year, but that's almost like forever , right?? :)

Thank goodness for long weekends that are extended by a snowday!!

This is done with all my love for my grandson, who will be 1 year old next month.

Enjoy the pictures, the details will be at the end.

I'm sorry about the glare, but I wanted to show the back side ! I like the reflection showing on the countertop!!

The pails were purchased at Target, a long time ago.
~ Patterned Paper - DCWV - All About Boys
~ Solid Paper - Bazil - Textured
~ Letters - Nursery Rhymes - cut at 2 inches
~ Critters, Car, Plane and Dump Truck - B is For Boys
      cut at 2 inches
I filled the center of the letters with Glossy Accents and did some doodling around the egdes with my black gel pen. They were attached with dimensionals from SU.
I added 'Googly' eyes to all the animals and attached them with glus dots

The pictures were all cut at different sizes - some with punches, nestabilites or by hand. The same with the white mats they are mounted on. I put doodles or inked the edges of all the picture mats.
I hope I have remembered all the details. If you have any questions , please leave them in the comments and I will get back to as soon as I can  :)

I am hoping to enter this project in a challenge or two. I will let you know which ones if I do.

Entered  ~ Random Amusing Challenge #100 at Glenda's Paper,Scissors & Rocks  -  use Red in the project.

Desk Top Calendar/Post It Holder

Today's project is one I made for my youngest daughter, who has just started on a new career path. She has been hired as an intern for Ernst and Young while she finishes her last year and a half of college!
We are so proud of her and I wanted to make something that she could have with her at work and remind her of me :)

This is a combination calendar/post it holder and I included a spot for a picture

I used an acrylic stand up frame that I got at The Christmas Tree Shop. The calendar section I made in Excel - email me for the file if you are interested :)
The pattern paper is from my stash... sorry I don't know the company. The brown paper is Stampin Up - Early Espresso. The felt flowers and leaves are Stampin Up. And the brads and bling are from my stash.

I hope you enjoyed this project - I Loved making it !!

Thanks for stopping by!

ps... I went to Hobby Lobby for the first time yesterday!! OMG... It's an amazing place...

Back Down To Earth!

Okay, it's time to come back down off Cloud 9 and get back to the serious business of cardmaking LOL  :)

These cards made me smile when I finished them.

Because the front is smaller than a regular A2 card, I found it easier to use stamps and  embellisments and not feel like it was too busy or empty.

The details:
Cardstock - Stampin Up
Stamps - Stampin Up - A Happy Heart (RET)
Felt heart and circles - Stamoin Up
Paper hearts - my stash
Cricut Cartridge - Wild Card - 4"

Now that I have been bitten by the challenge bug, I am off to find another one or two to enter this weekend !

As always, thanks for stopping by!

I Won A Challenge!!!!

OMG!!! I can't believe that this happened! When I saw the challenge last week for the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog , I decided to enter the book I had originally done for the Pink Stamper challenge. Well, I got a comment yesterday to let me know I had WON!!!

I can't begin to tell you how exciting this is for me !!!
Thank you, Fantabulous Cricut !!

When I started this blog, it was mainly so I could share my obsession with papercrafting with my family and friends and not clog up their email and Facebook LOL. But the more I did it and the more followers I got, the more interested I became in challenges and such. One of my loyal followers , Shirley G, encouraged me to jump into the challenge world. Thank you, Shirley!!!

I couldn't wait to share this with all of you. I will be back later today or tomorrow with another card to share .

I hope you come back and check it out.

As always, thank you for stopping by !!

My First Challenge!

The very first blog I started following was The Pink Stamper when I got my Expression, almost 2 years ago. I did searches on Google and You Tube and found her great vidoes. They are what got me past the first few weeks of the unknown with my new toy. Since then, she has continued to teach and inspire me on a very regular basis.
SOOO when she told us that she would be picking 2 additional Design Team members through a challenge, I knew the time had come for me to get over my insecurities and go for it!

Her criteria is as follows:

Make a card, scrapbook page, or other Cricut project with your favorite cartridge using my favorite colors......

Pink
Green
Brown
(other optional color of your choice)

I decided to make a booklet for --- I don't know what ---It will be up to the person who receives it !

The details are:

  • Early Espresso and Pixie Pink cardstock - Stampin Up
  • Patterned Paper - K & Co - Sparkely Sweet
  • Snowflakes - Cricut cartridge - Winter Lace
  • Ribbon - Stampin Up - Early Espresso Taffeta 3/8"
  • Sentiment - My Pink Stamper - Winter Punnies
  • Self - Adhesive Rhinestones - Queen and Company
  • Tab Punch - Stampin Up
  • Espresso Ink - Stampin Up
  • 1" wire rings - Zutter Bind It All
So, I have overcome my fear of the unknown 'Challenge' and submitted my first entry.
I hope you all will let me know what you think!

Thanks for stopping by :)

More Valentines

I'm so glad I got my cards done before I went back to work.... crafting time is so hard to find at the end of a day at work.... I really love to get into my craft room early in the day instead of late afternoon. My creativeness just doesn't seem to be very active at 5:00pm!

I broke away from my Gypsy and Imagine for this next card. I love this Stampin Up image so decided to try to do some coloring... boy do I have a LONG way to go with this! I felt like I was back in grammer school trying to stay in the lines !  LOL

All the cardstock, ink, ribbon, pattern paper and stamps are Stampin Up.The brad is from my stash.

I received Celebrate with Flourish for Christmas and just love it! I was so happy to see so many Valentines images. These love birds are so cute and the stamp - from Stampin Up- fit it so well.

All the paper and ink is from Stampin Up

I hope to get the last of them posted tomorrow.

Thanks for stopping by !

It's Time to Move on to Valentines Day!

As sad as it makes me, I have moved from Christmas to Valentines Day. I am feeling really good about this as it's 6 weeks until the big heart day and I have made more than 10 cards! Granted, I need to have them to the Operation Write Home shipper by Jan. 7th, but I still have time !

So for the next few days I will be posting the latest cards I have made.

I am pretty happy with them all, and proud of myself because I came up with the designs for them all on my own - I didn't scraplift ideas for any of them!!

The owl is from Hoot n Holler.
The paper and ink are Stampin Up.
The stamp is My Pink Stamper - Punnylicious
The felt flowers are Memory Makers
and the ribbon is from my stash.

Paper is Stampin Up
The sentiment is from Hoot n  Holler
The owl is from the Stampin Up Punch
The circle cuts are from Wild Card
I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder on the background - sorry, I don't know the name

I hope to be back tomorrow with a couple more.
I also want to try to make a project for my very first challenge.... will have to see if that happens :)

Thanks for stopping by.
Feel free to leave a comment and let me know what you think ! :)
